Panthère De Cartier Pendant Diamond Necklace in 18 Karat White Gold

Cartier introduced the «Panthère de Cartier» jewelry collection in the 1940s. The collection presented exquisite pieces designed with precious gemstones, highlighting the panther motif in different versions. The panther symbol had its origins in a wristwatch design introduced by Louis Cartier in 1914. However, it was under the artistic direction of Jeanne Toussaint, muse and driving force behind Cartier's style that the panther theme took on particular significance. 

This stunning pendant necklace is made of white gold and set with 258 brilliant-cut diamonds. The total weight of the F-G colour and vvs clarity diamonds is 1.69 carats. The charming signature detail, emerald eyes and an onyx nose are of course also present in the jewellery. The panther is gracefully captured with its paws crossed. This exceptional craftsmanship demonstrates Cartier's attention to detail.
